Pro Chlupáčovo muzeum historie Země je připraveno v nejbližší budoucnosti mnoho změn. Nejvíce by jich mělo být spojeno s depozitní částí. Tato práce byla psána jako příručka, na kterou by mohl být brán ohled při těchto obměnách. Měla by sloužit jako plně funkční návod k novému označování sbírkových předmětů, novému systému uložení těchto předmětů a k jejich snadné dohledatelnosti v úložných prostorech. Došlo i k porovnání institucí zabývajících se podobnou problematikou a popsání jejich organizační práce v depozitních odděleních. Zjištěné informace, ať už od kurátorů, z literatury nebo ze zkušenosti autora byly sepsány, abych plnohodnotně navrhl novou katalogizaci a inventarizaci pro CHMHZ. Guidelines for creating bibliographic records of broadside prints with Ignis 2 online tool

The guidelines for creating bibliographic records of broadside ballads or chapbook prints in the online tool Ignis 2 were created to enable enriched functionality of the internet library of broadside ballads Špalíček (www.spalicek.net). The guidelines are based on international XML format for the description of text documents Text Encoding Initiative (TEI P5) and describe the creation of bibliographic records of broadside ballads and chapbook prints. They replace older guidelines for already outdated program Ignis - XML Record Editor, clarifies and expands description of the prints in currently valid TEI P5, improves the compatibility of records with other library formats and enables name authority and geographical authority records to be linked with the records.

Metodika pro katalogizaci tisků bibliofilské povahy

Metodika vznikla jako jeden z výstupů projektu Bibliofilie ve fondech Moravské zemské knihovny v Brně, v jehož rámci probíhalo zpracování a zpřístupňování bibliofilského fondu čtenářům. Bibliofilie disponují oproti knihám běžného fondu řadou specifik, proto je třeba je popsat jinak, detailněji. Metodika přináší zaměstnancům institucí (knihoven a muzeí), které bibliofilie spravují, návod, jak katalogizovat tyto vzácné tisky podle pravidel RDA ve formátu MARC 21 tak, aby pro výsledné záznamy byla maximalizována využitelnost záznamů a přístupnost fondu čtenáři z řad laické i odborné veřejnosti.

State castle Litomyšl library. The history of the library collection, the analysis and cataloguing of its greatest part

The subject of this diploma thesis is the library of the state castle Litomyšl that was created as a product of the state institutions in the second half of the 20th century. The thesis deals with the topic in two fundamental segments - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides comprehensive processing of the library history and analysis of the particular unit especially from the topical, chronological and geographical point of view. The paper also focuses on the language, provenance as well as physical condition of the books and especially the graphics of the prints. From a thematic point of view, particular emphasis is placed on the most interesting, though not very numerous, group of religious prints and manuscripts. The practical part of the thesis, which consists in the cataloguing of the fund, brings the greatest factual contribution, especially to Národní památkový ústav that will therefore obtain a complex overview on one of its collections, but also to specialized public, for whom the composition of the catalogue means the possibility of the research use.

E-books in special libraries - acquisition, cataloguing, services

(english) Bachelor thesis analyzes the situation of electronic books in the Czech specialized libraries. Introductory chapters are devoted to general e-book, with a focus on scientific "e-born" monographic publications. Described are processes associated with the issue of e-books and general principles of building a library collection. I tis generally mapped the situation in the Czech specialized libraries, especially in connection with the subsidy programs of the Ministry of Education to support the infrastructure of research and development (2000-2011). Mentioned the possibility of searching e-books. Through an in-depth structured interview with a professional staff of the National Technical Library and the National Library of Medicine have found details of the acquisition, cataloguing and access to electronic books and informations are then processed and compared.

The current state of affairs and future of museum's libraries in Bohemia

(in English): The thesis presents overview of current state of museum libraries in Bohemia. It relies on the results of questionnaire specifically made for this purpose. Focus is also on library collections of museum libraries (acquisition, processing, accessibility and conservation), self-presentation of libraries on Internet, means of financing of such institutions and their activities. The thesis also overviews history of museum libraries on the case of four individual institutions, legal regulations pertaining to them and to their collections, as well as cooperation possibilities between other museum libraries, general libraries or other institutions. The thesis concludes with resume of strengths and weaknesses of current state of affairs in the field and anticipates future development of museum libraries. History, Presence and Future of Exchangeable Formats of Bibliographic Data

This dissertation focuses on the data exchange bibliographic formats that have been used in the libraries since the 1960s. There have not been many changes over the decades although librarians have been calling for them. Since the beginning of the new millennium, there has been a growing pressure for change. The aim of this dissertation is to try to summarize the activities in this field and to outline possible future development. The formats used in the past and in the present are analysed in the first part. It is possible to predict the future development on the basis of the analysis of individual projects and on the basis of surveys. The results of the analysis suggest that these activities are headed to a linked data publication model that preserves the current cataloguing procedures. Methodology for Cataloguing of the Book Provenance Records and of the Book Owners

The methodology for cataloguing of the provenance notes and marks in books in the MARC 21 cataloguing format is an issue of the PROVENIO Project: The Method of Book Provenance Research, which was carried out by the National Museum Library during the years 2012–2015. It briefly summarises the existing cataloguing recommendations and the basic adjustment and expansion of the MARC 21 cataloguing format, some inspired by the modifications introduced by the CERL, others proposed by the National Museum Library. The cataloguing recommendations concern both the MARC 21 cataloguing format for bibliographic records and modify some of its parts for it to be utilisable also for a detailed description of provenance notes and marks on the one hand, and on the other hand the format for authority data, which has been adjusted and expanded so as to meet the requirements on cataloguing and sufficient characteristics of the owners of books (individuals, families, corporations) and their book collections. Particular attention has been paid to the issues of linking various fields of bibliographic entries related to one particular provenance mark. The methodology further presents a controlled thesaurus for the cataloguing and description of provenance marks, which has been implemented in cataloguing systems as an authority file.
